The capstone project for the program will be a sustainability action plan for your organization. Each week you’ll complete milestones and receive guidance.

2 consultation sessions to evaluate the implementation of your sustainability action plan scheduled after the training program.

Learn2Lead Sustainability (L2LS) is a practical 10-week hybrid and cohort-based program for sustainability practitioners centered on the theory and practice of sustainability management.

What you will learn
  • Understand key concepts and frameworks of sustainability from a global and Philippine perspective
  • Develop a systemic understanding of climate change and its relevance to your organization
  • Define sustainability challenges within your organization and prioritize these issues through materiality assessment and stakeholder mapping
  • Understand the importance of systems thinking and be equipped with tools that you can use to bring a systems approach to your sustainability work
  • Understand the principles of a circular economy and the relevance of circular transitions globally and in the Philippines
  • Get inspiration from the range of strategies used by various sectors and different types of organizations to help achieve sustainability goals

PHP 25,000

The program fee of PHP25,000 covers the costs of the program (learning materials, facilitators, resources, live session logistics, field trip, etc.)

Yes. To successfully complete the program, you need to complete all the online learning material, attend the live sessions (you can only miss a maximum of 2 sessions to still be eligible for the certificate), and you must submit your completed capstone project according to the requirements and by the given deadline.

Thirty (30) participants will be selected for the cohort.

On the program application form, there is a question asking if you will apply for a scholarship. Please select ‘yes’. 

After the application deadline, the L2LS team will review the applications. If you are accepted into the program, you will be asked to fill out a form and write why you deserve to have a scholarship. Afterwards, a committee will review your scholarship application.

*Please note that the scholarships are based on financial need.

Yes, it is expected of the participants to attend all live sessions. To receive the certificate of completion for the program, you must have attended 6 out of the 8 sessions (you cannot miss more than 2 sessions if you would like a certificate).

To “fail” the program means that you have not fulfilled the requirements to receive a certificate of completion. To successfully complete the program, you need to complete all the online learning material, attend the live sessions (you can only miss a maximum of 2 sessions to still be eligible for the certificate), and you must submit your completed capstone project according to the requirements and by the given deadline.

No. All accepted participants were vetted during the application process, and the organizers reserve the right to fill the slot in case a participant backs out.

Applicants are required to submit an application form. To take part in the program, participants need to have access to a computer or mobile device with an internet connection, and be able to travel to the venue in Metro Manila for the live face-to-face sessions (exact venue location TBA).

Participants are introduced to the program materials via a learning platform. Participants will be guided on how to use this platform before the cohort begins.

There are no prerequisites. This program is developed for those who: 

  • Have little to no background on sustainability but have been assigned to sustainability roles
  • Want to develop foundational knowledge on sustainability management and are in positions to implement sustainable solutions
  • Want to transition from traditional functions, upskill, and integrate sustainability in their current leadership role

 

Participants will learn about sustainability management, including key concepts, skills, and best practices for leading change in their communities or organizations to help achieve sustainability goals.
